JCT was established in 2002 with a vision to provide innovative and robust hardware and software solutions to the Australian healthcare industry. Shortly after its inception, JCT acquired the assets of a local nurse call manufacturer to enhance the company’s focus on providing nurse call solutions to Australian hospitals and aged care facilities.
A company that created paging platforms primarily for hospitals was acquired by JCT in the early 2000s. This would lay the foundation for JCT to become a leading provider of nurse call and messaging solutions in Australia and lead to the deployment of sizable hospital projects in both remote and urban areas.
After ten years of building a reputation as a pioneer in the nurse call industry, JCT made the decision to start a three-year research and development programme that would result in the release of a new line of world class nurse call and messaging-based systems. These new products provided clients with a greater range of options depending on their operational requirements and budgets.
To support its growth, JCT acquired a software development company in 2014 to further strengthen its software development capability and add integration features to its web-based messaging software. Integration capabilities have since become a core pillar of JCT.
JCT commenced it’s Assistive Technology business in 2013. Utilising its engineering and software resources JCT quickly established itself as a leader in developing custom assistive technology packages to the disability and independent living sectors. In 2016 JCT was awarded an Australian Innovation Award for Disability Touchscreen Technology.
